Aric, the Educator

I have been a musician for 24 years, and a trumpet player for 18. I have been fortunate enough to study with some of the world’s greatest trumpet players (James Thompson, Ryan Anthony, and Boyde Hood to name a few) For all of the privilege I’ve been granted, I have had tremendous obstacles as well. Through the struggle of having to rebuild my embouchure after a nearly career ending injury I found the importance of education.

As a teacher, my goal is to make learning the trumpet as fun and easy as possible. Most of the difficulty in playing the trumpet is navigating the mental obstacles that come with the instrument. By starting our process with these mental obstacles in mind rather than the results we hear out of the bell, we are able to learn the trumpet in a simpler, easier, and more enjoyable way.

I offer private lessons ranging from 30 minutes to an hour. I am able to accommodate longer lessons, or masterclasses on a case by case basis. Feel free to reach out if you’d like to talk more!

As a professional freelance musician of 14 years, Aric has performed across the country, and world. His experiences include jazz and classical music, as well as commercial, pop, rock, RnB, and many other genres. Need a wedding band? Aric has you covered. Need a jazz combo for your corporate event?
